When you create a joint network, all joint boundaries in the network are considered as a single modeling entity. It is not possible to edit individual boundaries in a joint network.
If you wish to edit individual boundaries in a joint network, you must first ungroup the joint network.
To ungroup a joint network:
Select Ungroup Joint Network from the Joint Networks submenu of the Boundaries menu.
Use the mouse to click on any joint boundary in a network. All boundaries in the network will be highlighted.
Press Enter or right-click and select Done Selection, and the selected joint network(s) will be ungrouped.
This will convert all joint boundaries in the network into individual, independent joint boundaries which can then be edited using the regular boundary editing options in Phase2 (e.g. delete boundary, move boundary). After you ungroup a joint network, you can delete, move or change the properties of individual joint boundaries.
NOTE:
If a joint network has been ungrouped, it is no longer considered a network (for modeling purposes) and the joint network editing options are not applicable.
If you accidentally ungroup a joint network, you can use the Undo option to reverse the action.
If you have ungrouped a joint network and saved and closed the file, the ungroup is permanent (i.e. you cannot re-group the joint network after the file has been saved and closed).
The ungroup option does not change the properties of the joint network (i.e. if you ungroup a network this will not change the analysis results). The ungroup option simply allows you to edit individual boundaries in a network.
Right-Click Shortcut
Ungroup Joint Network can also be accessed using a right-click shortcut:
Right-click the mouse on any joint boundary in a network.
Select Ungroup Joint Network from the popup menu.
The selected network will be ungrouped.
